Restoration Hot Tips: Modifications to Traps

The modifications on the Doc200 are a quick release child proof safety latch which requires four deliberate movements to open the box and a trap catch notifications alarm system.

DOC 200   The modifications on the Doc200 are a quick release child proof safety latch which requires four deliberate movements to open the box.This was designed to;

1. Alleviate the need to carry a tool to open the box

2  Make the clearing of the trap much quicker

3. Save considerable time on even one box

4. Prevent the latch from releasing if trap is tipped over

A flag system has also been designed to use on boxes to alleviate the need to micro check each box.

Trap catch notifications

This entails a wireless alarm system. Door magnets are attached to the top of the trap to indicate when the trap has sprung. This door magnet then sends by radio wave, a signal to the main controller about 40 to 50 meters away. If the controller is positioned in the middle of the monitored area this can equate to 100mters x 100 meters coverage area.  The main controller has a sim card in it and sends a txt message to any mobile phone programed into the system.  This is practically helpful in an area where you are monitoring for breaches in sensitive areas such as inside a predator fence etc
